More of an Epidemiologist sense he works with viruses and disease. While Medic pushes the limit of the human body from an anatomy standpoint (through things like the ubervalve and the medigun causing rapid cell regeneration), the Doctor would work best with pushing the immune system.
He doesn't have medigun technology, which makes his job a lot harder in regards to keeping his team alive on the field, but he does the best he can with what he has

Alternative hairstyle for my Medic OC.
After a little bit of refining over the weekend, I’m 99% sure I have settled on a Classic Spy facecanon. (I kept in the cowlick because the first time I drew it it was accidental but it’s grown on me. Also serious men with errant hair strands are the best.)
