Associated Entry (Severus-‘76):

Father made this drawing when he had me christened. I don’t remember it at all.

If he truly hates me so much, why does he keep all these drawings or photos? Maybe he still loves me a little, or at least, some version of me that used to exist.

On the back he wrote that he had never been so happy, and that I was his pride and joy. I definitely crushed his dreams for the future with how I’ve turned out. I would feel bad, but he’s probably crushed my soul to death, so I think he’s brought it on himself.

IMAGE/JOURNAL LORE:

Tobias made a quick sketch of him holding Severus after his christening, as photography wasn’t allowed in the Russian Orthodox Church/Church Building, and Tobias/Eileen weren’t in the church as part of the ceremony.

So like, fic idea: Rapunzel Curse-

100% head canon that Severus has naturally long curly hair and glamours/pins it up to look less feminine. He likes having long hair because he thinks brushing long hair is soothing.

Basically, the marauders use a old spell to make Severus’ hair grow REALLY long. The spell was an centuries old prank that was used to make rival wizards look more effeminate as a way of embarrassing them. The spell was created so that the more powerful a wizards magic was, the longer their hair would grow. This spell historically was used in friendly duels, and eventually led to the popularity of witches growing long hair and wizards growing long beards as a display of power.

I drew this in colored pencils and digitally smoothed it out to post (will post sketches). He’s holding carnations and wearing one of his mother’s shirts.

To Severus: the boy who deserved to be loved.

For my fic there is a platonic route and a romantic route. The romantic route is from a secret admirer (#1) and the platonic route is from Tobias (#2).

ROUTE 1:

The first poem (“To the boy…”) is an original poem I wrote. The others (2 & 3) were poems I found on Pinterest that were uncredited. You can imagine the admirer being anyone you like. For me, it’s an OC in Cokeworth.

ROUTE 2: Tobias gives Severus a Valentine’s Day gift as an apology for pretty much everything lol (this has both a sad and happy ending). I tried out Russian cursive (I’m not Russian lol) in a card from Tobias to Severus.

Note: I think I have a hyperfixation on both teen Severus and the final (direct) Romanov family. These headcanons mainly pertain to my fics, and not canon. Although, they can if you really want them to.

HEADCANONS:

Severus (and Tobias) are on the autism spectrum.

Severus is on the intersex spectrum.

He and Lily did makeup together at least once, and Severus actually thought he looked nice for a little bit.

Severus looks equally like Eileen and Tobias, although he imagines himself more like his mother.

Severus enjoys dressing in both his parents clothes (privately at night) so he can look in the mirror and pretend his mother is saying she’s proud of him.

He has five favorite flowers: Carnations, Snowdrops, Lilacs, Easter Lilies, and Lilies of the Valley.

Tobias and Eileen were originally expecting to have a baby girl.

If Severus had been a girl, Tobias and Eileen would have called him Alexandra.

Related: Severus, despite disliking his father, actually prefers going by his Russian patronymic, Severus Tobias or Severus Tobiasevich. (Female patronymic would be Tobiasovna, I think)

Severus knows how to sew, so he’s fully capable of sewing/mending his own clothes without magic.

Severus Snape would’ve adored Preacher’s Daughter by Ethel Cain.

Severus is also bullied in Cokeworth, and spends most of his time hiding in the woods or with Lily.

And when I write that he or Severus have blue eyes, I do not mean itty bitty pretty baby blues. I mean this:

These boys have deep blue, bottom of the ocean eyes that haunt everyone who looks into them. (I’m saving my poet power for the stories).

SERIOUSLY THOUGH: SPOILERS AHEAD

IN ORDER: Adillarania, Baby Tobias, Alexei

Basically, Tobias is either the son of Alexei Nikolaevitch or Tatiana Nikolaevna (It switches depending on the fic and plot lmao). One way or another, one of them survives Ekaterinburg, and end up taking residence in Darmstadt, Germany in the New Palace where Tobias ends up being born.

Following the “Alexei lives” plot, he marries a Russian-Jewish woman named Adillarania. Tobias is born a Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine on 19 March, 1928.

The war starts, the trio end up being separated in the war, and (in most fics) die through the events of WWII, except Tobias obviously. He is smuggled out to Britain where he lies about his age to be enlisted in the military. His entire family is dead and he didn’t particularly care about what happened to him.

He meets Eileen, who’s fighting in the war as a part of some teenage rebellion kick, and doesn’t really seem to be affected by war (because she has magic and had been using it during the war). He likes her, she likes him, war ends and they get together.

This leads to baby Severus. Eventually. Who considers himself the half blood prince, but has no idea he is actually royalty.

I just thought mimicking the Inbred cover was fun.
