Aurelius Angel was once a powerful Gladiator in the Pits of Kaon on Cybertron. Second to Megatron, who was the reigning top Gladiator for centuries.

By the time Megatron started the Civil War, and around the middle of said war; Dion was appointed Ultra Magnus, and his brother, Dane, became the First Prime in a council of peace bringers.

But Ultra Magnus feared that the Warframes that were captured would never fit back into Cybertronian society... So, he did what he thought was best for them. He had them all smelted down. Parts of their bodies ripped apart, broken off their protoforms. Until small, weak Civilians were all that's left.
