I was feeling super depressed about things (both personal “What if this never gets better and I’m just alone for the rest of my life” sense and in the macro “Oh fuck the world is on fire” sense), but a friend managed to (inadvertently) fix it by reminding me of something I’m righteously furious about that someone I’m angry with did.

So I got mad and made the chocolate stuff I’ve been wanting all day. Now I have chocolate fudgey sort-of-frosting type stuff to eat out of the bowl. And I might walk to the post office later to mail some cards to friends.

Anger points out when you didn’t deserve to be mistreated and anger gets shit done. Sometimes the shit is “good self-care things”.
