13: what’s something that made you smile today?
I finally, FINALLY got the original 2003 DVD release of Kiki’s Delivery Service, and I watched it today.
“First: don’t panic! Second: don’t panic! And third, did I mention not to panic?”
16: what’s your favorite pasta dish?
Any kind of pasta with this roasted tomato sauce recipe. I do it slightly differently than he does because of my dietary needs and personal taste (he adds his aromatics right at the end, I only use garlic and I roast it with the tomatoes), but it’s stupidly easy and delicious. And I always feel really healthy when I make it because it’s literally just fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil, salt, and pepper, and butter if you want it to taste really creamy.
I have made this and licked the plate clean. I bought a garlic keeper solely so I could always have some on hand for this recipe. I am this close to getting some windowsill basil for the same reason.
33: what’s your fave pastry?
Cinnamon rolls! I’m planning to make some in a week or two, after I make myself some banana bread muffins.
