Comments: Gen. This was a blast to read! The whole thing is stylized as an LJ comm, PMs, emails, and IMs. The man characters here are Dean, Sam, and Cas, but you’ve also got a host of cameos (you can go to the epilogue for a cheatsheet on who’s who).
The names thing was a little confusing at first since Supernatural the show exists in this world with all the same character names. This does get addressed by the author!
The only established ship in this fic is Sam/Jess, but the characters ship a bunch of different things. Kevin ships Sevin, Dean and Charlie ship Destiel, Jo ships Wincest, Meg ships Megstiel, and Cas is staunchly gen/no ships. None of it is explicit and they’re all treated equally and fairly.
Also has some great bits about balancing fandom with “real life.” Basically it’s one big loving shout-out to the show and to fandom.
NOTE: The “major gay panic” is largely fandom panic with a little gay panic thrown in. Basically SPOILERS Dean is worried about John finding out about his fandom life as well as the fact that he likes men, but the fandom thing is what’s really addressed in this fic.
