Tetsubin has a 400-year history rooted in the Japanese Tea Ceremony and is valued worldwide for its elegant craftsmanship and its ability to enhance the flavor of water—making tea taste richer, milder, and smoother.
It also releases trace amounts of iron into the water, offering health benefits, especially for those with low iron levels.

I found this lovely Japanese tetsubin and I think it would be a perfect prop for my BJD boys. I just need to find chawan now.
Another pair of tetsubin from my larger series. Of course, painting these Japanese cast iron kettles only came about with much tea consumption! 🌱 🍵 🌿

Large Signed Iron and Bronze Ryubundo Tetsubin - Meiji
extremely stoked about these thrift store finds i got today!!! its a cast iron japanese teapot (tetsubin) & two sake cups made in japan with really really cool peacock designs to use as teacups!
the cups have a beautiful crackled glaze base & the lines on the design are a shiny gold :) the arts gorgeous too! the tetsubin has a lovely pattern design and the size is perfect for serving one or two people! its also in amazing condition with only v slight rust and scrapes on the inner bottom. an extremely good deal for $6 omg! and the cups were only 99 cents each, regardless of their material quality they're absolutely Beautiful
for $8 i can now have my usual jasmine tea in a beautiful elegant lovely way :))) i think uncle iroh would be proud :")
