So, I love Demencia's song so much and I was disappointed that there were no english translations that rhymed in english. This led to me spending a while day to create a rhyming english version of the song instead of doing my homework (Procrastination yay!). Heck yeah I do! In tons of stuff.
I mean just from an artistic stand point an image of a gnarled, old, greyed-out behemoth of a tree has waaaaaay more visual character than some perfectly trimmed hedges. The deeply wrinkled and weathered face of 90 year old woman is more memorable to me than most pictures I’ve seen in magazines. Broken down shacks, and abandoned buildings overgrown with plants have a story to them. It’s all fricken awesome!
There’s nothing wrong with classical beauty and aesthetics, but I find that a lot of things that appear ‘ugly’ and ‘undesirable’ have their own beauty as well. Quirks, and things that mark something instantly as unique are wonderful even if they don’t fit the ‘ideal.’ Does that make sense?
