Hey guys, here are some tips for the SAT that I found most useful. -space out your studying: you don't want to study 3 hours everyday, sure it might be good, but you need to keep your brain interested, or else you'll get bored of it and proceed to not study for a while. -on test day, DO NOT CRASH: not as in car crash, but in mentally crash. Do not do the following things: -drink a whole cup of coffee because most likely you will crash during the test, and this is bad news -get 3 hours of sleep because you were studying. DON'T STUDY BEFORE TEST DAY!!! -doubt yourself: DO NOT EVER DOUBT YOURSELF. Act confident, it helps Okay, so here is what I did on test day. 1. I got an amble amount of sleep. 5-6 hours 2. I had a good breakfast, get the McDonald's combo with sweat tea. Don't gulp the tea down, drink responsibly, meaning you should save some during breaks to keep you from the fatigues. 3. Bring gums! Study shows that chewing gum helps improve your score, which means it helps you concentrate, and prevent you from sleeping or getting bored during test, ahem, Critical Reading. 4. If your vision is getting blurry from what appeared to be tiredness, GO SPLASH WATER ON YOUR FACE!!! During my third break I head to the restroom and wash my tired-ass face, and it was extremely effective 5. Be confident, walk confidently, act confident! Even if you didn't study that much, at least you studied some, and if you doubt your ability to get a good score, shame on you! You should be confident in yourself, don't doubt yourself, you are awesome! 6. Read with your mouth, silently. This helps, just as long you don't disturb other people, you are good 7. Use hand gestures, wave your hand around when you are answering questions, do hand gestures such as the "WTF?" "HHAHA THIS IS EASY" etc. I believe that moving your hands will lot only help you concentrate, but also help you reason better by making the questions seem like everyday obstacles. 8. BRING A WATCH!!!! You do not know how useful this tool is, it's almost unfair for people who don't have one, so take advantage of the watch, you will pace yourself much better. 9. Skip the question you don't know, chances are if you don't know it, you will most likely get it wrong. 10. ACTIVE READING!!! Give yourself 5-7 minutes of actively reading the text! This will improve your chances at getting the CR questions correctly. If you skim through, you'll have to read again to understand the text, and AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!! 11. Whatever you do, DO NOT GUESS! 1/4 point is taken off whenever you get a question wrong! 12. After a section, if you think you got a certain question wrong, DON'T THINK ABOUT IT! It will distract you from your current section, and you do not want a chain effect! That's all! I hope this helped, honestly I felt great after my last SAT, I don't know my score yet, and this is purely my experience, it may varies, so make up your strategy, because most likely, my guide will not work completely, but this is just a guideline on how I beat the sat with confidence.
