Test Track 3 0 On Ride Low Light 4K POV EPCOT 2025 07 13
Disney Parks people can anyone explain what is so revolutionary about the new Test Track beyond it being vaguely educational and not being a bunch of Tron screens? Like it just seems like a bunch of blue sky car concepts with a super sterile corporate aesthetic. It doesn't look bad per se but nothing exceptional and nowhere near something like Horizons (which I feel did the blue sky future stuff so much better)

My thoughts on Test Track 3.0
Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen it yet btw! You have been warned.
For the first time in a while I am actually quite impressed with something WDW has put out! I had my doubts based on the concept art, but overall the ride looks pretty good. One thing I love about it is the scenery. The forest scene looks extremely well done and compared to its previous iterations I think 3.0 has done a good job filling the space. The entire ride feels like something classic which is great!
I'm pretty sure the cars are the same as 2.0, just with a paint job but they looked just fine so there was no reason to create a whole new vehicle. The new queue line is sort of the same, the addition of the new window is cool but I was hoping for a few more props to look at while you're waiting. Nothing beats the original line imo.
This new version has removed the feature of designing your own cars but did not bring back the preshow aspect at all. Although ill miss it I do admit the gimmick was a hassle and took entirely too much time. People also did not follow directions and would end up scanning their magic bands on someone else's station. The line should flow quicker now without it!
Another thing that has been removed are the small screens that were used in both 1.0 and 2.0. They were repurposed in 2.0 to show the leaderboard of cars in the vehicle but are not present in 3.0.
I love the new effects. They don't look cheap or rushed, which is what I was initially expecting. And the use of physical sets rather than all screens is so perfect.
I'm very happy to see a mural near the exit! It was a nice touch and made the attraction really feel like part of Epcot. Job well done!
Disney has finally opened the newest version of Test Track, and it actually looks amazing. I remember riding the original as a kid and then 2.0 probably once.
This 3.0 version reminds me of the ride Test Track, which took the place of World of Motion, which was an attraction about the invention of movement.
I won't be able to give a full review of the ride until later this year, so I won't be providing a detailed review at this time. But from what I can tell from social media and the ride through in this video, the Imagineers did a wonderful job opening up the queue space and took out the personalization section of the line, which was often the reason why it was so backed up. They also updated the safety video with its visuals.
The ride overall looks like it belongs in this current version of EPCOT that has been created since COVID. But it works.
Hey! If you listen closely, you can even hear a reference to the World of Motion.
