Day 20: Any tips for new systems?
Hm, I suppose... Keep in mind that you will feel like you're faking, either your system or the trauma that's influenced it. The whole purpose of a system is to separate the intensity of what you went through from you, and the purpose of the structure of the system is to hide itself as a protective measure, even from you. You will feel like you're faking as a result of these functions. You are not.
Also remember that every system is built differently based on the individual and needs they've had in life. Just because yours isn't like another's doesn't mean you aren't a system, either.
Lastly... At the beginning of discovering you're a system, things will be in upheaval. You've taken a core aspect of the system's structure and turned it on its head merely with the act of recognizing it. Things may get worse for a bit. But ultimately, things will even out once you and the rest of the system settle into the pattern now that the smoke and mirrors are gone. It will get better. - Ro
Day 21: What songs do you associate with multiplicity?
This is a tough one, while we have a few we've resonated with for a while because of our systemhood, I don't think we've been a system long enough to consciously note the ones we identify with. - Ro
I decided to take a quick perusal through our music library, but... Unfortunately almost all of the obvious choices based on songs we projected on growing up are edgy and only reinforce the "good side/evil-monstrous side" stereotype... so we'll go for the song "Stronger Than You" sung by Estelle in Steven Universe - kind of on the nose since it's sung by a character who's literally a fusion of two individuals but I think it's a good positive take on the concept meaning-wise and representationally speaking. - Terry maybe.
