All of Tokyo was talking about Sphinx these days, the two masked terrorists that were releasing their cryptic riddles and bomb threats across the web for the police department to solve, all while taking the necessary precautions to make sure there were not only no casualties, but few civilian injuries as well.

With their latest video tossed up on the web just an hour ago with a twenty-four-hour warning, Twelve took the streets to kill his free time. Ending up in Shibuya the brunette took to the areas that were covered in graffiti. Setting his book bag down once he found a small blank area to work with, he pulled out a can of red spray paint VON in big yet simple letters, wondering who would see it and catch on. Unfortunately for him though it seemed that someone had already taken notice of his little piece of art. 

It had been a few weeks since he and Twelve had been hiding from the US government that was hell-bent on hunting them down and silencing them permanently thanks to the airport incident. In the meantime, everything about the Athena plan had indeed gone public, which eased them quite a bit knowing that no matter what their goal had been accomplished. 

While Twelve snoozed away in their latest hideout Nine was working on his laptop as always, checking the camera feeds every few minutes just to ease his anxieties. The past few days Nine had been quietly searching for his family members he could only vaguely recall before his time in the facility, specifically his twin brother whose name he had borrowed. Finally, his internet searching had paid off once he stumbled upon his records. Instead of daring to stop by in person though Nine couldn’t help but to smirk as he managed to successfully hack into his twin’s computer sometime later, leaving a simple encrypted message for him.

Twelve was out placing the latest bomb that would be set to go off in a matter of hours. Nine and Arata however stayed behind in the apartment in hopes of once again find any trace of Sybil itself even though any hacking attempts this far had failed.

“Everything’s there as requested.” Nine stated as he handed the blonde a packet without a fuss, already having made sure payment had gone through and shuffled to his bitcoin account. 

“It’s real enough to even fool law enforcement, so you’ll be fine.” He had naturally perfected the art of falsifying documents over the years. Passports and IDs were basically child's play. The only hard part was hacking into the government databases and covering up his tracks afterword.

         Shoulders tensed at the sudden proclamation. The tools he had in his hands almost fell onto the floor–but he managed somehow to regain his composure. Continuing to work on what was in front of him—-it was soon followed with a retort.

    “And what lies have I been spewing, Twelve?”

“You think I don’t notice when you’re not feeling well? Your nightmares, you’re headaches keep getting worse with time...Just because our days are numbered doesn’t mean you don’t have to take care of yourself.”

He couldn’t help but to toy with his own medical bracelet for a moment, always wondering when meds weren’t going to be enough to prevent his occasional seizures. It had been long enough that he had forgotten when the last time he had one was, but even then...

         “It is. You know how our paths will end. It’s useless to act like them.”  

    His tone was curt–distant as he continued to look forward. The clattering of kids were ignored by Nine–they were just a distraction. A normalcy they would never amount to.

“I’m well aware that our days are numbered, and even in the better scenarios there’s no fairy tale happy ending for us, but that’s precisely why I want to enjoy life while I still can.”

Pouting for a bit he held his kururin plushie close to his chest, toying with his own medical bracelet for a moment before sighing. 

New school, new people. Already Twelve had made quite the first impression considering he was standing in the classroom soaking wet since he had randomly decided to jump in the school’s pool outside. Teacher didn’t appove, and his classmates were already looking at him funny. 

As usual Sphinx had posted their latest riddle video online for the police to attempt to solve. However the time limit had come and gone without a single police car in sight. Currently the two young terrorists were across the street from their target, already having checked to make sure it was completely abandoned before placing the bombs so no one would get killed.
