Y/N tossed and turned in her bed, her mind racing with thoughts and worries. She had been struggling to fall asleep for the past few nights, and tonight was no different. She let out a frustrated sigh and glanced over at her sleeping boyfriend, Brian, who was snoring softly beside her.
As much as she hated to disturb him, Y/N couldn't stand laying awake in silence any longer. She gently nudged Brian, and he stirred, groggily blinking his eyes open.
"What's wrong, babe?" he mumbled, his voice heavy with sleep.
"I can't sleep," Y/N whispered, her voice filled with frustration.
Brian sat up, concern etched on his face. He reached over and placed a hand on her forehead, checking for a fever.
"I don't have a fever, Bri," Y/N said with a small smile, knowing her boyfriend's tendency to worry.
Brian chuckled and rubbed his eyes, trying to wake himself up. He then turned on the bedside lamp and turned to Y/N.
"Maybe a glass of warm milk will help," he suggested, getting up from the bed.
Y/N sighed and shook her head. "I've tried that before. It doesn't work," she said, feeling defeated.
Brian thought for a moment before a mischievous glint appeared in his eyes. "I know what we can do," he said, walking over to their closet.
Curious, Y/N sat up and watched as Brian pulled out a blanket and some pillows. He motioned for her to follow him, and she did, intrigued by whatever he had in mind.
Brian led her to their living room and spread out the pillows and blanket on the floor, making a cozy spot. He then dimmed the lights and put on some soft instrumental music.
"Let's have a little indoor picnic," Brian said with a grin, gesturing towards the bag of snacks he had brought from the kitchen.
Y/N couldn't help but smile at her boyfriend's thoughtfulness. She snuggled up against him on the pillows, and they enjoyed their late night picnic, talking and laughing as they indulged in their favorite treats.
As the night went on, Y/N felt herself getting drowsy. The warmth of the blanket, the soothing music, and Brian's comforting presence all helped to calm her mind and body. She yawned and rested her head on Brian's shoulder, feeling content and at peace.
"Thank you, Blue Eyes," she whispered, feeling grateful for his ability to always make her feel better.
Brian kissed her forehead and wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer. "Anything for my girl," he replied with a smile.
Y/N drifted off to sleep, feeling grateful for Brian's love and support. She knew that no matter what life threw her way, she would always have him by her side, finding ways to make each moment just a little bit brighter.
