I imagine that in a hypothetical film adaptation of the Splatterhouse remake, there's a dramatic opening prologue scene about the Terror Mask's origin or something, and afterwards it cuts to Rick snoring in bed on the morning of that fateful day.
Then his alarm rings, he turns it off, fumbles for his glasses, sees the calendar on the wall after putting them on and freaks out like "OH, FUCK- JEN HAS THAT INTERVIEW TODAY!"
