I will always maintain that Eleven and Twelve's eras are the show's peak visually. The framing, composition, lighting, etc during those seasons was just sublime.
#doctor who#dw#twelfth doctor#eleventh doctor#peter capaldi#matt smith#i still see people bang on about chibnall era#but it mainly just has better picture quality but really boring images#and that is why it isn't bombarding you with awkward close ups#poor framing#terrible composition#horrendous blocking (no one knows what to do with all those companions)#godawful lighting#intrusive lens flare#and so on#you can just tell they were aiming for prestige tv#and it just ended up looking awful
