I love going solo, but, well. It's telling when you die within a couple seconds. It's also sad. But whatever, TERRAMORPHUS YYYEEAHHHH.

EDIT: It's been nerfed, but regardless it's still a very powerful combo

I decided to take on one of the new raid bosses in Borderlands 2 today with a friend. We've managed everything in the game so far together and he just got back home today from time away from all his games so we decided to give it a shot. Hyperius the Invincible is the name of the new boss and we entered his arena not knowing what to expect. He has the appearance on a Hyperion engineer pulsing with energy. We didn't hesitate to open fire and he responded by summoning four robot things and creating a shield around himself and the robots. The impenetrable shield cycles between four out of the five enemies, leaving one exposed at all times. The robots fire homing rockets and so does Hyperius, but what really gets you is his explosion attack. He releases a blast of energy that completely destroyed out shields and then follows up with a second wave which kills us. That is pretty much the whole fight. The arena is a large open space with no cover and there is no way to dodge the attack (I think the commandos shielded turret can block it) and it began to irritate us greatly. I know these bosses are designed for four level 50 players but I think an attack that can wipe out everyone at once is a bit cheap. After the Bee Shield and Conference Call combo that made is simple to solo Terramorphus I as hoping for a boss where you really had to think of how to beat him and work as a team.  I don't really see much room for strategy with this fight. Perhaps this is that fight and I need to look at it closer. I've watched a video of a team taking him out and they all used kinda cheap tactics. I spend a lot of time collecting guns in this game and acquiring my perfect arsenal of weapons and perfecting using my abilities and I hate to see all these guns and abilities become useless as I'm forced to resort to cheap tactics to defeat these bosses. I want to get a full team of players I know and can work well together with and try it out later but for know I'm left scratching my head as how to approach this fight. I do not want to resort to the Bee Shield or Baby Maker although maybe this boss is designed to combat people who use these strategies and you might actually need to pull out every cheap trick in order to defeat him. No idea for now.

Gotta love Gearbox for continuing the trend.
