Phanu was created the normal way. In a lab by corrupt scientists who had harvested his genetic material from an overdose victim. Bonus points for adding a little spidery-ness to the mix. 

Phanu, like many other dopplegangers, knew only Lieseil INC and it’s child companies until he was old enough to work for them. He was given a brilliant education, of course, but he never found himself excelling in those subjects.

When he showed a propensity for fire, well, that changed some things. While they couldn’t use him for assassination or any delicate matters, his attention for detail and fascination with fire and explosives made him an asset in other ways. 

PERSONALITY

Phanurat is... well, not shy. He’s boisterious and outgoing, loud-mouthed, and loves to be the center of attention. He’s a bit unlike other dopplegangers that way, in that he likes to draw eyes to him, but he’s found a way for it to work. There can be an anonymity in attention. People might write him off or say that he’s one thing and cannot be another. “Phanu? The fire performer? Sure, there was arson and he was seen nearby, but it couldn’t have been him. He doesn’t have it in him.”

He has an incredible attention to detail. The caveat? It has to be something that interests him. Where he lacks attention on any important matters like a drivers license, he makes up for it with wiring and pyrotechnics and explosives.

With his friends, he’s caring and always seems to remember little details about them.

But, he also has strange interests. He’s tried on multiple occassions to get people to make venom pacts with him, but he never quite makes it happen. No one seems to know what the “venom” is. 

He’s never seen without some kind of fabric covering his shoulders - one rumor said that he had spikes of some kind coming out of his shoulder blades, but it couldn’t be confirmed.

He likes to put on a show and one might wonder if that’s him just hiding who, or what, he really is. No one really knows any of his secrets or seems to recognize any defining traits about him besides his love for performance.

Gabriel Parker was born in Connecticut on November 3rd, 1987. He was the eldest of three children, but only he and his sister made it to adulthood. His youngest sibling died of chlidhood cancer and their absence left a hole in their family.

His parents fell into grief and nothing could seem to bull them out of their sorrow. When he was fifteen, Gabriel stepped into the role of caretaker to be sure his sister had everything she needed. Luckily, their family was well off due to their generational business - a gun dealership along the eastern border of the state. He was able to pull himself and his sister through high school, but when college rolled around, he had no clue what he wanted to do with education.

But, having being raised around guns and with guns, he decided the military was the best shot he had. Especially if it paved the way for his college later. 

Gabriel was a natural. He excelled at hand-to-hand combat, proved himself a strategist while in training, and had a sharp eye with a gun. When he should have been shipped out to be stationed around the world, they held him back for more specialized training. After a few years, he began to train others. While hand-to-hand combat was his favorite, the soldiers he trained always mentioned his marksmanship as his defining quality.

Even though he was meant to be a hardened sergeant, Gabriel was a jolly guy. When he wasn’t teaching, he was laughing and smiling. The military was the first place Gabriel truly felt that he belonged and he wasn’t going to sulk his way through life. He loved training and was content to stay that way forever.

Until he got his station orders - three years in the Germany to aid with efforts in the Middle East. They ordered that he go alone and tell no one in his family of his whereabouts - as was standard at the time. But, he negotiated that he would be able to bring his sister along as he was her only caretaker and she was barely eighteen at the time. His superiors reluctantly agreed. 

In June 2010, he and his sister arrived in Germany. They settled down into Berlin where Gabriel was meant to be stationed. Over the next 7 years, the two lived together and built a life in Germany. Gabriel barely had time outside of his work to manage a social life, but he had a few lovers and more friends than he could count. His sister was always throwing events at their shared home and she even managed to fall in love with a German man named Eric Brien. 

Eric and his sister fell in love quickly in 2017 and were married by 2018. Shortly after, she moved out and for the first time in Gabriel’s adult life, he lived alone. He should have loved it - he should have. But, he missed his family and he needed kinship. In late 2018, he met a young man named Mikael. He was the life of the party and brought out the youth in Gabriel. He didn’t know how to call it love, but he was content with following Mikael through life and gleaning some of his happiness. 

In early 2019, deep in the bliss of the new relationship quickly moving toward living together, Gabriel received a distressing call. His sister told him over the phone that his brother-in-law Eric was in the hospital of a drug overdose. It was the first he’d ever heard of Eric having drug problems - the family rallied around Eric, especially Gabriel. For his sister’s sake, he needed this man to recover and return to his former self.

He grew very close to Eric in those months. Helping him to regain his life after falling so deep into drugs and alcohol. The two would often spend evenings chatting over the phone or helping to prepare dinners for both Gabriel’s sister and Mikael. It seemed that the family was growing and thriving, but Gabriel didn’t see Eric’s behaviors until it was too late. He didn’t notice how Gabriel would disappear into the bathroom before meals and come back with sunken eyes. He didn’t notice how Gabriel was sneaking cash out of Mikael’s wallet when they visited. Eric began asking him about his routine, the routes he took on the way to work. 

A few weeks later, on his way to work, Eric called him crying. Between sobs, Gabriel could scarcely make out the words “I’m sorry.” He panicked thinking that Eric was going to harm himself or his sister, but when he pulled over on the side of the country road, he didn’t have time before someone yanked open the driver’s side door. Four armed men dragged Gabriel’s screaming and kicking body away from the phone where Eric sobbed and apologized.

Gabriel learned the truth over the next few days. Eric had sold him out to a fringe laboratory for enough money to pay for his habit. Gabriel begged to be released, saying that his family had money - that he could pay them whatever sum they wanted. But, they didn’t want money. They wanted his body, his muscle, his skill, his soldier’s brain. His cries fell on deaf ears.

On June 3rd, 2019, the experiment was completed. It had Gabriel’s face and body, his honed muscles and skills. It had his name, his charming wit, and his innate sense of a soldier’s loyalty, but nothing else. All memory of his family and his partners had been destroyed. He remembered nothing of the man he’d been. When he awoke on the table, he only knew that he was loyal to the man responsible for his life and that he had a larger purpose. That purpose manifested when he was accepted as the bodyguard for the Villanelles and ordered to carry out his duty to them while waiting for Lieseil’s order to take them out.

Over the last three years, he has grown into his role. He is emotionally stunted, like many of his kind, but he has learned how to make people trust him. He knew when and how much to smile, he found ways to make someone comfortable with his words, and how to make people see him as a threat only in service of the Villanelles. It was imperative to his larger mission that he not raise suspicion. 

In the last six months, he was assigned a second mission - to find Evren Fawn. When her original agent was murdered, it sent shockwaves through the Silent Death. Perhaps she was more dangerous than Lieseil had let on - but, Gabriel took on the challenge. He has been following her from afar from some time, trying to decide on a way to get closer to her. Her previous charge had been a partner, but with her new ties to Cyrek and their children, that proved to be a dead end for him.

PERSONALITY

Gabriel is both intentionally and unintentionally manipulative to those around him. His role is to be trusted and his goal is to be seen as a threat to Villanelle’s enemies, but a friend to those who stay around them. He puts people at ease, slipping into a personality perfectly crafted for them. If they need someone who seems soft and sensitive, he can do that. If they need someone who can offer opinions and think critically, he can do that too. He has a way with making people comfortable, but that’s only a mask. Underneath it all, Gabriel is a man constantly pulled in two directions. One on hand, he has very real loyalty to Lieseil and waits for the day to carry out his mission. On the other hand, a false sense of loyalty ties him to the Villanelles, but he’s concerned that he’s began to trick himself, too. While the experiment took most of his emotions, a few remain. His anger is quickly lit and incredibly difficult to douse - he has incredible discipline that keeps him at bay, but if given the chance, his volatility has lead to more than a few violent takedowns in the past. 

HIS DOPPLEGANGER TELL

previously believed to be a supposed victim of kidnapping ransom gone very wrong; her whole life, evren was told that all of her family members have been murdered when she was three during the negotiation to rescue her and she was the only survivor left. it is often mentioned that the lieseil agents were present at that time to shelter and take her under their wing.

she was brought to safety in the lieseil headquarters and had resided there ever since, completely lacerating the conception of social life all at once and leaving her isolated. the agency saw the golden chance of making her one of their deadliest weapons especially with the child’s innocence.

hwangmok isn’t actually her surname, instead a name she had adapted when she was young and had gotten herself invested with books; the agency permitted her the liberty to not enforce one picked by theirs name and choose one on her own. sadly, it seems like that was the only streak of freedom they had offered to her.

though given material care, for some inscrutable and perhaps pernicious reason, evren was never allowed explore outside the building. lieseil promised it was merely for her safety; but the only place, and so-called playground, that she was allowed to visit was the school they had allowed her to attend, while within the headquarters malevolent practice was executed and she was demanded to witness all of it; from physical extortion to torture, even participate when she was old enough to do so.

every education and knowledge given to her was tightly supervised. evren was trained to do activities that a mentally-naive and innocuous individual should never have to endure. this includes, but not limited to, partaking in questionable “research” and testing, witnessing torment, and learning certain skillsets; tracking, spying, and luring people in with manipulation and seduction.

with that upbringing, she was sculpted into the near-perfect marionette for lieseil-however, along with that, comes her biggest defiency: due to all the isolation, she became thoroughly incompetent to fit with the society. she became an incredibly perilous pendulum, who understood no boundaries, and searched the most extreme methods to solve problems or interact with people.

she perceived everyone as objects, things that she can play and own and tweak around to her desires. she had an entirely naive mindset that’s also very fucked up and skewed; the actions and matters that might be seen as cruel by most others she could not comprehend and instead assumed to be the correct way of doing things. one second, she could be cold and unapproachable, then playful, but one wrong word would send her into complete hostility. she absorbed most things in black and white, and when she wasn’t trying to be professional, this caused her to become emotionally turbulent.

however, much to lieseil’ chagrin, evren’s obedience was somewhat short-lived especially when, during her teenage years, she met up with one certain, wounded punk CYREK FAWN. everything about him and his constant acts of rebellion intrigued her to her core, and despite their flaring, inferno-like exchanges, they started to hook up in secret even after the agencyhad strongly advised her to not maintain contact with him but evren paid no mind to it. cyrek’s resistence began to rub off on her, and she relished the ventures they were able to devour together, picturing the universe sinking in and there was only the two of them left. the two were pretty much hazardous and inseparable, up until a specific point where they had to be forcibly shredded from each other. though, it was definitely not the last time she’d seen of him. in spite of the agency’s rage, a child came out of her relationship with cyrek, named AMARIS JIWOO.

driven to disappointment with her defiance, lieseil ordered torture to be given down to the new mother; this led to an abundance of agony and it was then announced that evren had been put in a comatose state. however, a short time after, she managed to re-emerge appearing a lot more bewildered, repulsed, and seemingly missing memories. 

the agency began feeding her with lies; telling her that cyrek had departed out of distaste and that she had been deceived. still somewhat naive at that time, evren was rendered lost and cluess as to which side she should put her trust in, and parts of her that believed that cyrek might have intentionally deserted inflicted a massive amount of wrath which she then released the next time they encountered one another. sexual tension remained to linger at that time, however, the more she got to know him, the more she realized he had been genuine all along,

after an incident that warranted scars and injuries on cyrek; evren took the time to tend him in which their relationship blossomed even further. at this point, evren was entirely swayed, her memories mended, and after a deep rumination while spending time with him and his band of misfits, evren agreed to leave the agency. the latter, of course, did not take this kindly whatsoever.

they started sending their best efforts to, if not recapture, then eliminate them; including sending trackers to follow suit, spreading word around towns about the bombers and caution for their residents to watch out for the two. with the help of a fellow agent who also disliked the agency’s practices, evren and cyrek were able to narrowly escape them.

a fire occurred in the midst of all of this and after being attacked by more of lieseil’s agents, silent death included, evren ended up being mortally wounded. almost meeting her demise, cyrek came in to ressurect her by turning her into a vampire.

the pair eventually managed to hide themselves away from the agency’s grasp, beginning a proper romantic relationship together and later marrying, evren also converted to judaism and tailed alongside their camps whenever they went, sharing stories with one another.

several years passed, she now officially rides with THE BOMBERS, she and cyrek, and lives a much less extravagant and blood-coated life. with that being said, she savors in everything it has to offer despite their struggles with finance on several occasions. evren strips down her guns, most of the time, for a life filled with odd jobs and much more common activities, though after enduring one that forced her to be that bloody agent perhaps normalcy becomes entertaining. after several miscarriages caused by stress, she currently lives with her children and taking care of them with with her spouse.

It’s not an event she remembers, but as a baby, Annaki’ was left with her brother’s on the doorstep with reckless abandon. While the family of that doorstep did step up to take in the children, they were lucky with the doorstep chance had brought them to. 

The Pallas-Dexicos were a family suffering from poverty, with barely enough food to feed the extra mouths they took in, and then turning to use those children as a way to get favors by making the children suffer, drawing more guilt from the community who had no idea the parents were behind it. Being diagnosed with Diabetes Type 1 at a young age, Annaki would have her insulin withheld from her, putting her into insulin shock on multiple occasions as the young girl was put in through confused agony. The only thing that hurt her more than the abuse she suffered was watching her brothers in pain by the same hands, always wanting to curl up in their arms no matter which one of the three was hurt that day. 

Eventually, Child Protective Services finally stepped in to help the three of them, who were then transferred to Manchester’s foster care. Separated from the only two people she knew actual love from, Annaki was bounced from house to house, never making much connections with the families until the age of thirteen. A family who she would stay with for almost three years had taken her in, and Annaki finally felt she found a family who would truly love and care for. 

She was sadly wrong, as they would later return her into the foster care system. This betrayal was internalized as she hadn’t thought she did anything wrong or to upset them, yet she was returned like a purchase at a store. But Annaki always saw the best in people, even after what she had endured, so she believed it had to be something about herself that behind what had happened. 

Most of her time was spent just trying to survive the brutalities of the foster care system and the constant switching of schools. Going to school was barely an escape from the ever-changing foster home she would return to as she faced bullying from her peers. Her optimism when it came to others made her an easy target for girls to pretend to be her friend when in reality, they were mocking her to her face and behind her back. Annaki usually couldn’t tell the difference between a genuine and ridiculing friendship, desperate for some kind of amity since she was so detached from those she lived with. 

When she finally turned eighteen, she had no idea what she wanted to do with her life. Eventually she would follow her brothers, who she finally was able to reconnect with, to Pigalle and was still looking for a job she truly enjoyed after working mostly retail positions for the years prior. Coming across a request for a vet position at the local animal hospital, Annaki jumped on it, the idea of being surrounded by animals all day sounding desirable. She was hired and has had the job for a a few years now, even if she annoys those around her by suggesting adoption any time one of the shelter animals comes in. 

She has a dog of her own, not a rescue, as he is a Diabetic Alert Dog who is trained to know by scent when there is a change in her blood sugar. Mochi is usually with Annaki wherever she goes.
