This tequila-infused burger with a zesty salsa will take you to Guadalajara with its strong flavors. Your taste buds will love it!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/4 cup tequila. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup diced red onions. 1/4 cup diced jalapeos. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 tsp cumin powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 burger buns. Lettuce leaves. Sliced cheese of your choice. Guacamole for topping. Sour cream for garnish. Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, cumin powder, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into 4 burger patties. Heat a grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat. Grill the burger patties to your desired level of doneness, adding a slice of cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking. In a small saucepan, heat the tequila over medium heat. Allow it to simmer for a couple of minutes to cook off the alcohol. Be careful as it may briefly flame up. Remove from heat once the alcohol has evaporated. In a separate bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onions, diced jalapeos, and the tequila. Mix well to make the Tequila Spiked Salsa. To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each burger bun. Add a grilled patty with melted cheese on top of the lettuce. Spoon a generous amount of Tequila Spiked Salsa over the burger patties. Spread guacamole on the top half of the burger buns and place them on top of the salsa-covered patties. Garnish the burgers with a dollop of sour cream and fresh cilantro leaves. Serve your Guadalajara Burgers with extra Tequila Spiked Salsa on the side for dipping. Enjoy your delicious Guadalajara Burger with a hint of tequila flavor!
