Tephral; a comic idea I have.
Tephral is a comic set in the minecraft nether, following two young piglins as they grow closer together over the course of a year.
The once vast and industrialized Empire fell centuries ago due to zombie apocalypse and environmental disaster, leaving the Bastions as the only safe places left in the world. The piglins adapted - learning to recycle and subsist. They learned to survive. But there's no growth, no expansion, no safety net to stop them from being decimated by the next disaster. The world is less than stagnant, it passively decays.
Ko, a young adult, is living with his adoptive guardian Saelem, an alchemist and ex-adventurer. Much of his time is spent running errands for the potion buisness, or being trained in self defense. The few moments in between are spent dreading about the future and trying to learn Old Empire, a dead language. The day after the Blossoming Festival, Ko runs into his older cousin Orirn, who is an all around cool dude, and a member of the Wither Guard. After confirming his order for more weakness potions, he introduces Ko to a new friend.
This comic would be slice of life mostly, being made up of disconnected events from across a year until eventually the end arrives.
