Sneak Peek
Thanks to the amazing art of Teoldryir done by @sleep-dies, I’ve started working on a continuation of the adventures of our gold-seeking dragon.
The next part will feature a new oc, a hill brownie turned assassin (alright, maybe I read Dragon Rider a few times too many as a kid). I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek!
His thoughts were interrupted when a tall figure appeared along the road leading into the woods. The person strode with purpose towards the house, and the assassin winced as he waited.
Except the person didn't trigger a signal curse or trap or any of the magical pitfalls that surrounded the house. Every so often he would glare in the general direction of a spell, and then continue walking as if he owned the place.
The assassin knew this wasn't the target. The target had left the house exactly once and immediately locked himself in upon return. So who was this, then, walking in like he aimed to steal the reward right out from under the assassins’ nose?
Bristling with rage, the assassin hissed and leapt out of the tree, landing easily. He strode purposefully towards the person, leaping around the stinky spots of spells.
"Oi! Stop there! What do ya think you're doing?"
The tall figure stopped and turned, staring quizzically at the assassin. It wasn't often that five-foot-tall furry creatures appeared out of the woods to yell at this particular figure.
The assassin stopped dead in his tracks as he got a good look at the person. And then he gulped, because this wasn't a person- at least, not a human.
After all, Grann had been sure he knew how to spot a dragon.
I’m steadily working on continuing this continuation of Teoldryir’s adventures, but with college starting next week I can’t promise it anytime soon. In the meantime, I’ll do my best to perhaps share little dialogue tidbits and such- hope you enjoy!
