There was no one in the whole wide world that Minerva loved more than her brother, Tennessee. That little boy is literally the only person she would throw her entire life away for - although she loved Sophie and Violet and her friends dearly, if there was one person in the entire school that she would save should a disaster have struck the school before she was traded off, it would be Tenn.
During the process of composing Don’t Be Afraid with Louis, when Tenn was having difficulty sleeping, Minnie would simply sit by his bedside and hum him the song until he finally managed to succumb to sweet slumber, even if the song itself was unfinished, but before he did, they made a promise that if she could help him learn how to play the piano, he could teach her art skills ; she complied. She only began singing the song in public to hush the other children to sleep when she managed to complete the song.
When he was small, she and Tenn and anyone else who wanted to join in would play in the courtyard and the playground before it was overwhelmed by walkers - she would always let him win and flop dramatically onto the floor once he got to tag her. When she was tagged, she would very, very slowly run after him and always let him have the upper hand until she knew he was tiring.
Minerva once had a crescent moon shaped locket she would wear around her neck that used to belong to her mother - the only thing she had left of her from the fire that burned down their house -, and every time she would open it, Claire de Lune by Debussy would begin playing. It was one of her favorite things she had left of the house, but she decided to give it to him as a present for his eight birthday. Minerva hopes that he’s still taking great care of it.
` — Nightmares were certainly something of the norm in this world, and Aasim was confident that nobody could ever manage to successfully escape them no matter how hard they tried. He’s unable to count the time where he’s waken up in a panic, fighting against imaginable forces or plagued by haunting memories of the past, and it’s part of the reason he finds such difficulty falling asleep most nights. Tonight had been no different, sleep alluding him once again as he poorly attempts to preoccupy his mind within the pages of yet another worn out journal. His thoughts are abruptly interrupted, however, at the unexpected sound of disturbance reaching his ears, paired with a voice that he all too easily recognizes as belonging to Tenn.
He doesn’t think, impulsion swiftly carrying him out the door and down the hall, for as slim as a chance of their being a presence of any real danger, he could never in his rightful conscious simply ignore the disruption. Creaking open the door, Aasim was surprised to find Tenn on the floor rather than in his bed, yet the name he utters that most certainly isn’t his own manages to break his heart clean in two. “You didn’t wake me.” He speaks the assurance quietly, blunt fingernails lightly digging into the wooden door where his hand remains clutched around. “It, uh - it’s fine.” Though he doesn’t want to simply leave it at that and go back to bed. He’s not sure what he can offer to lessen the boy’s troubles, but he figures it’s better to try something rather than nothing at all. “Do you... maybe want to talk about it...?”

beep beep how’s my portrayal ? @plannedahead said: i'm not even saying this because you're my friend(wife) and i love you, but - your portrayal of louis is /incredible/. the amount of effort you've put into him is admirable to say the least. you bring a sense of realism in making him feel believable and genuine, i can always hear his voice in your writing and am easily able picture him in every scenario you put him in. in all seriousness, your louis is my personal canon louis. i'd pick him over in-game louis every single time without question 💖
@tennoutoften said: 10/10 exceptional Louis (and Ruby and all your muses tbh)! You capture his charm and his sense of humour wonderfully!
@ratleaderr said: i love the way you write lou, you give him such a natural flow in the way he speaks whether he's teasing flirting,. or standing up for the things, or those he loves! you always give your muses a uniqueness to them that stay true but also give a mun's flare
*SMOOCHES Y’ALL* since it’s taken me so long to get to these, i decided to throw y’all together ( i hope y’all don’t mind! ) and let you know that i love and appreciate y’all! you’re all fantastic rpers and i’m grateful to know you! thank you so much for these kind words! i am unworthy! <3
@tennoutoften said: “That was…pretty cool.” [for AJ!] T/WDG TFS: episode one: done running (good choices)
a smile lights up his features. he knew that tenn was still nervous around guns, but he was pleased to see just how much he was improving.
“ you think so? ” aj asks, hopefully. clem had always said that he was turning out to be a better shot with a gun than she was. maybe she was right. “ if we keep practicing you’ll be able to do it, too! ”
@tennoutoften said: A platonic ( FLOWER ) for Vi! ( FLOWER ) putting a flower in mine’s hair.
a violet for violet, why is she not surprised? she’d always hated her name- too girly... but then again, the rest of her name wasn’t so great either-- actually, it was way worse. she wasn’t a big fan of the color ‘purple’ either, despite what people might think, given her name.
if it had been LOUIS throwing violets into her hair, she’d already have her meat cleaver out, ready to chop off one of his limbs. but this is TENNESSEE. and tennessee could get away with things with violet more than anyone else ever could.
so instead, a hand lifts up to lightly graze over the petals in her wheat blonde hair as she turns her attention to tenn and says, “ you tryin’ to be funny now? ” but the smile that tugs at her lips lets him know that she’s nowhere near upset. “ uh- thanks, tenn. ”
