Synopsis:

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

After assumingly saving his little brother Sam from a witch’s curse, Dean Winchester is thought dead at the young age of 14. Unbeknownst to his family, he’s been left to live his life with an adoptive family in the motel walls at the now mere size of 4 inches. With 15 years now gone and past, Dean has become desperate for any news on his family’s whereabouts. Luckily, he may just have found the person to help after nearly being caught using her computer.

Oh, poor Jimmy!

If Cas left him downsized, he would indeed be stuck until Cas came back to fix it! Jimmy can just hope that he’s regular sized when the angel leaves him, otherwise he’s going to be doing a lot of praying for Cas to get back here and fix this shit!

Sorry if this has already been answered, but does Brothers Consulted take place during a specific point in the Sherlock timeline?

Also, will we be seeing Mary at any point? I can’t stop thinking about John being like “so I may or may not have adopted two 4 in. tall boys who were living in our apartment” and Mary saying “oh, they’re mine now too :)” and they become the new John and Mary 😂

Brothers Consulted takes place between the first and second seasons of the BBC series for Sherlock (w/ Benedict and Martin Freeman, we just love their portrayal). Sam and Dean had been living at the flat long enough to be around when Sherlock shot up the walls, and it’s been a very exciting time. Of course, only Winchesters consider regular gunfire to be ‘exciting.’ 

We have actually considered having Mary be in the series. I’m not completely sure at this time if she’ll show up, but there have been musings for both Brothers Consulted and Brothers Discovered. She is an interesting character to tackle and I know @borrowedtimeandspace has been quite excited for the chance! And I have to say, our ideas for her were very similar to yours! (So many jokes on tumblr about John and Mary, and which show people are talking about. It’s amazing how similar they can be at times).

1) When would it have been most likely for Gabriel to meet a little? Does he simply know about them, or has he personally interacted with them? (The way he treated Jacob and Dean in JIW seemed a little personal, but I could be reading into the situation.)

2) Has Celeste ever changed a monster into a little? (Some part of my brain says this has been answered but I honestly can’t remember 😅)

3) Do the Brothers Apart Winchesters ever meet Gabriel? Would it be in a similar situation as in the actual show?

4) Are the angels all the same in each universe (i.e. the Gabriel we meet in JIW is the same one from the Lounge or another Brothers Apart universe)?

Oh, I love these questions! They’re all so good! I can’t wait to see what you come up with, don’t forget to share it with us all!

1. As the archangel that is AWOL from heaven, Gabe knows a lot about the world that his heavenly siblings wouldn’t! He’s run across littles from time to time during his travels, and has a clearer idea of what his fallen sister is up to compared to the others. He took it very personal to find humans and littles interacting, and took it upon himself to teach them a few lessons about it, but that doesn’t mean he’s not on their side to begin with. 

2. Not in my series as of yet, but it could be done! I was actually quite excited to see them using archangel grace in the TV series to a similar effect with monsters, to power them up, and shrinking them would be just a small step further. 

3. No plans currently for them to meet Gabriel, so you can imagine it however you like! So far it seems that they’ve lucked out in the angel department, and only have to put up with Castiel, ha. 

On another note, I’ve totally may or may not have come up with a little BA AU idea featuring a tiny!Dean and a certain geeky red head going on a road trip together 👀 👉👈 I’m hoping to post the first chapter soon so expect a story link to be dropped in when I do!

I got such a kick out of discovering Charlie’s full name, especially since at that point I’d had my Celeste for at least a year or two? Maybe? Memory is pretty difficult as an adult, lol. I think Charlie suits her very well now, she’d be sure to be offended about the archangel sharing her old name. 

Definitely my reaction during that entire story!
