And so the first night he settles in, ready to sleep, and the bed is so plush and comfortable… but soon he finds himself tossing and turning, every shadow and small noise making him jump. Surely the dorm in the Annex was not this dark, and surely the walls and floorboards didn’t creak this much, and the wind didn’t howl quite like this, with the tree branches scraping the window like claws. And, now that he thinks about it, the firbolg’s snoring was actually kind of soothing, and Argo’s sleep-muttering wasn’t even that annoying, really.
