“Temptation”
This is the first time I have drawn a dark-themed artwork. Honestly, I don't like dark-theme-work. I prefer artworks which speak about hope and love of nature.
Temptation (concept of this art) is dangerous because it takes in different forms mostly pleasures of this world. Knowingly, pleasures are temporary, however humanly, they are irresistible. If we do not want to be tempted, we should avoid staring or lingering our gaze at them. Yes, we may see them, but staring is a step closer to being tempted.
Drawn using fingers on my iPad mini.
P.S I wanted to share with you my poem I wrote when I was 17. The title is, “Temptation”
Oh temptation, temptation, Persistently luring me into your bosom; Why have you entered my heart so quickly? And brought unto me sin so virulently.
Subtly you came in various forms, For me to succumb to your deception; With my innocence and limitations, You succeeded with your relentless invitation.
As I looked into the annals of my life, I realized that sin has been the cause of strife; So then I began to pause and ponder, How long will I allow you to linger?
I tried to hide myself from your entices, But each time I always felt powerless; And one day in my great frustration, I found myself in isolation.
Wake up! wake up! I told myself strongly, You wasted much of your life so dearly; Encouraged and strengthened in my inward being, I can do, I will do is what I kept saying.
Do not give up, bravely make a stand, Determined to do what your heart commands; The change so elusive all of these years, Is now at hand, ready for your embrace.
