DECENT
I recently came across a place within myself that I didn’t understand. I had been working my way down from the Heart chakra when I stopped at Svadhishthana. This Temple I know well. I see it nestled under the roots of a great Tree that grows through the center of my being.
As I contemplated my desires, both carnal and spiritual, I came to the realization I would have to descend into the root chakra of Manipura. Ever seeking the guidance of Ru’ahh I requested that the way be revealed to me and after some time an opening appeared in the floor.
Upon examining it further I became frightened. See, unlike every other Temple at the chakras along my Kundalini this one was not lit. There is a great unknown in the darkness as I could feel the deepest parts of my own soul stirring beneath me. I understood I would be descending alone and that paralyzed me.
Ru’ahh revealed Herself at the heart. Heart to head. Head to the center of my will at Svadhishthana, rinse and repeat. The concept of looking deep within myself alone and bringing the light into the darkest parts of my psyche, those nasty bits I’ve hidden away, is something I border on avoiding altogether.
As always, I reached out to my spiritual advisor and told her of my discovery. Thankfully, she warned me against embarking on my own and urged me to wait. I am to contact another mentor, a brother in Spirit, and have them contact my advisor. They are to pray over me as I make my way into this cave within and strike at the root of my spiritual blindness. As I prepare for this journey I am comforted by the opening lines of the book of John:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Here lies the crux of the mystery.
