POSITION TITLE: Standards & Compliance Specialist
HOURLY WAGE: $11.00 - $13.00/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for reviewing and validating survey results, ensuring that accreditation process is upholding standards which promote an exceptional level of patient care. Candidate must have the ability to interpret and explain the organization's standards to third parties. Position will also assist research Medicare and state licensure requirements and developing educational and training materials for surveyors.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviewing and validating surveys
- Reviewing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
- Explaining accreditation standards to facilities
- Reporting suspected fraud and abuse to the Director of Facility Accreditation
- Preparing overview and recommendation for Director of Accreditation
- Answering questions on state licensure requirements
- Writing articles for organization's e-newsletter
- Researching Medicare guidelines; application entry and general administrative tasks
- Mentoring and training Standards & Compliance Assistant
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Knowledge of NetForum preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excels with time management, reading comprehension and analysis
- Customer service oriented.
- 1-3 years professional experience required
