BIO (Just a small blurb regarding who the character is. If it’s a Canon Character, please copy and paste from their bio):
Silas never felt like he fit in anywhere. His life was spent trying to hide who he was to the people that mattered most to him while also trying to be everything they wanted him to be. His father, especially when he was drunk, was a hard man to please and Silas was nothing like his bigger, more athletic brother. While his parents bashed gays, the D/s system, unmarried claims and partners, and just about everyone else for one reason or another, Silas just wanted everyone to be safe and happy. When his father would drink or become rough with his family, Silas was always the first to step in to try and calm things down or turn the anger towards him to spare the others; no small task and one that hardly endeared him to his father. When his mother would yell or become distant, he’d make sure to take care of his siblings and try to cheer everyone up, almost a compulsive need to make sure everyone was happy and safe and taken care of no matter the hurt it caused him.
He knew in middle school the dark truth about himself…he liked men. Of course he knew he could never let his family know, not even his siblings, or risk the wrath and judgement of the parents he so hoped one day he’d be able to please. He hid his sexuality well, only occasionally experimenting with men in high school. When he started to learn more and more about the D/s system in school, he found himself drawn to it’s simplicity and the safety it meant for him. Of course, again, he wouldn’t admit this to anyone. Getting accepted at Lima Heights was a relief. It was far from the prying eyes and dangers of home and he hoped that maybe he could be more himself, and in the process, encourage his siblings to be more themselves too. Being the protector of the family, he’d assumed he’d get at least a Switch mark, so when he received his submissive mark he felt like life had once again let him down. A sub couldn’t protect anyone, they had no more freedom to be who they wanted to be than living under his father’s roof had afforded him.
BIO QUESTIONS (Please answer the following questions as the character. They are meant to be short answer, so please more than one-word answers but epic novels are unnecessary):
What is your biggest fear and why?
*My biggest fear is, well, it’s hard to narrow it down and not be a cliche but I guess it would be being a disappointment. I don’t want to be on my deathbed full of regrets and alone. Maybe even more than that, I don’t want to lose my family. Was that too honest? I feel like that was too honest. I can just say sharks. Most people probably just say sharks, don’t they? I talk to too much.
What 3 objects/places mean the most to you and why?
1. The library because it’s safe and quiet and free. And, because I love the smell of old book and the way history just pours out of the building. You can learn anything in a library and no one would ever even know because they’re all too busy with their own stuff.
2. Anywhere I can run really, but the old trail through the woods behind our neighbor’s property. The trees would almost make a tunnel in the summer and I could run and be in my own little world.
3. My anklet. I made it myself but I made it for a really good reason and as a remind to myself about something really important and it’s kind of like a tattoo or something like that, but of course I couldn’t get one f those.
Who is the one person you’d most like to meet (dead or alive)?
Does the Doctor count? Can be be fictional? Because I’d so run away with the Doctor. No one would even know I was gone and I could be back and make sure everyone was safe, even from aliens
What is the one moment you would describe as your happiest/most excited?
Getting my acceptance to this place? I was pretty happy about that…not as happy about this whole sub thing though. That kind of ruined things but for the first few sentences of the letter I was really happy.
