I haven't talked about Eurovision and Hetavision in a while, as I've been boycotting over the continued inclusion of Israel (despite their ongoing genocide against Palestinians). By now, my irritation has devolved into full-blown anger and resentment. Doubling down, shooting themselves constantly in the foot, over and over and over again.
My respect for ESC was already dwindling, even before 2023/2024, but by now it's fully gone. Frankly I don't care if they crash and burn. They ruined themselves and their own reputation, so why should I feel bad. All of this doubling down for what? For Israel?
EVEN IF, in the future, they removed Israel from competition, I can't imagine myself ever going back. This shitshow left such a bitter taste in my mouth, and I feel like nothing can ever wash it out. So I'll probably never talk about eurovision again (in a positive light, at least), and you certainly won't see anything hetavision-related from me again.
I know ESC 2026 isn't until a few months away, but I encourage you all to keep boycotting. Don't bother giving them your views or attention.
