The Pure Comedy of Ture Sventon (Tam Sventon) by Ă ke Holmberg is something that give me so much joy. A few golden nuggets from the beginning of Ture Sventon i Paris. Sadly this book isnât translated, but a few of the others are. Enjoy!
Fru Smith satt i en dĂ€ckstol pĂ„ A dĂ€ck. Hon hade ocksĂ„ hunnit halvvĂ€gs över. It was a lovely day on the sea. The Atlantic ship SS Atlantic was on her way from america to France, and was now half-way over the North Atlantic Ocean. Mrs Smith was sitting in a deck chair on the first class deck. She as well had come half-way over.â
Mr Picard dried his forehead with his handkerchief. Seeking to light the moodd he poured a glas of champange, which he carefully pushed over to Mrs Smith from Chicago. "There you go my dear madam" he said with a most calming voice. "I am not having any" Mrs Smith answered and drained the glas.â âBureau stod det pĂ„ dörren. It said Bureau on the door. So far you weren't in the office and talked. Then it said Auerub, because the door had a glas window.â
