Happy semla day!
My first one here, and I was pleasantly surprised to witness the city go semla-crazy. And happy to see so many vegan options everywhere. I myself enjoyed a star-shaped one ⭐️
I commissioned a picture from the amazing @kujikawaiiart of Allenby Beardsley eating a Swedish semla (or "fastlagsbulle", as it's called in my neck of the woods):
It is, of course, based on the classic "Sailor Mercury eating a burger":

What if Etruscan mirrors were polychrome?
Etruscan bronze mirror, ca. 350-325 BC. Found in Chiusi Sienna. British Museum:
Areatha (Ariadne), Fufluns (Dionysos), Semla (Semele), while and a satyr named Sime
To give a quick explanation, @ulises-aithon has identified the flowers as belonging to the Arum genus, and I have depicted them as such. The bottom one is a lotus. Blue for sky. As for the colours of the clothing, the cloak is a burgundy red symbolising wine. I loved how it was depicted in this uninterrupted way (from Ariadne to Semele) it looks incredibly poetic. Ariadne’s orange tones are simply because I love orange for brides (it doesn’t have to be at their wedding, but I love weddings). The jewellery is made of gold, silver and pearls, and the lyre is made of tortoiseshell and horns. The rest of the mirror is, of course, bronze.
