I loved and hated
Today, I walked through school with my friends and worked alongside people I didn’t know.
Today, I thought through the never-ending assignments.
I thought through things that seemed to overwhelm me just by my own thoughts.
And I watched as my friends talked about their weekends in such animated ways, even I got jealous of how they chose to spend their time. I walked past classrooms. It absolutely mesmerised me - how could such a place hold so much at once but nothing at the next moment? Each and every single room was a place where people laughed, cried, shared special moments and had mundane Mondays. Empty classrooms full of memories held safe by the four walls.
People waltzing through the halls and passing by. Every clunk of a boot, every click of a step, every squeak of a sneaker. The water that showers down on cloudy days, tinting the windows a shadowy pink. The air-conditioning always a little too cold for me, warming me with familiarity.
How could a place feel so distant yet so intimate?
Temasek Poly Courses (TP Courses) - Compilation of all the courses from Applied Sciences, Business, Design, Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences and Informatics & IT.
Temasek Polytechnic students were in #tampinesnorth last weekend on a community service project. These Integrated Facility Management students visited flats which had just been upgraded under Home Improvement Programme. They helped residents check that the new facilities were in good order and gave them tips on how to maintain them well.
