4x03: Teliko
Mulder and Scully investigate a series of murders where black victims are found with their skin gone completely white.
An African "teliko" spirit is killing black men and turning stealing their melanin
This spirit/guy can squeeze through small spaces, Tooms-like
He first immobilizes his victims with a dart containing a West African passionflower
Scully crawls through the vents to save Mulder
Mulder really just eats sunflower seeds in the examination room lol
Score: 5/10
Watch it? No, it's a skip for me. I feel like it all didn't make much sense, why the creature came all this way to steal melanin. Not particularly memorable, the classic X-Files "paranormal entity from another culture not executed well".
I think part of why I love Mulder and Scullyās mutual rescues so much is because they always know exactly what the other one needs to hear in moments of vulnerability.
Spoilers for Irresistible and Teliko under the cut.

āBut what science may never be able to explain is our ineffable fear of the alien among us. A fear which often drives us not to search for understanding - but to deceive, inveigle, and obfuscate. To obscure the truth not only from others but from ourselves.ā
