stepping in she knows there’s no hiding her newfound ... distress from him. even if he can’t read her mind, he’s always been more gifted than he realizes at reading her. “ can we talk, ” she questions softly as she leans against the door frame, “ somewhere with l e s s ears, ” bella adds. this is not a conversation she wants to have when there are prying vampires anywhere near. because the truth is ... she doesn’t know how it will go. part of her feels ready to run, it’s an echo of her mother really. the woman could run away from a problem or a situation like there was a gold medal waiting for her. and that’s exactly why she’s determined to stay, at least long enough for this conversation. long enough to know if they can be okay. / @televampyr

The mind reading was something that Gabriella never understood, as much as she wished she could sympathized with her big brother. She could only imagine how crazy it could get hearing everything around: how so personal it would feel to hear everyone's private thoughts. And yet, the first thing that came to Gabriella's mind - rolling off her tongue without any proper thought to it - was a remark that only an annoying little sibling would make.

“𝓘 came out here hoping to find some peace and quiet in the mids of all this-- but apparently I was wrong,” Alistair added in a rather annoyed tone. With the household of vampires awaiting their impending doom, Alistair found it to be overwhelming being stuck within the walls of the Cullen home and often ventured outside to the property to get away from it all for a little while.
