siebren loves it. the night is meant to be romantic and full of love. all he manages to do is spend an hour admiring the glass, looking at the projected stars. he points out his favorites, draws line in the air of the constellations. he's excited and loving every moment of it. it's something he will keep in his pocket for years to come.

what color was their childhood bedroom? it was a nice, deep blue that was almost black. it looked like the night sky. he had one of those star map things, that projects the stars on the ceiling and walls and stuff. so he wanted a color that would simulate being outside when he couldn't.

do they collect anything? he really enjoys books, especially non-fiction informational ones. could be about anything, even if it doesn't necessarily interest him on a personal level. he just enjoys learning about things.

how do they take their coffee/tea? he drinks his coffee with one sugar and a dash of milk. his tea is one sugar as well, but otherwise as is.

fingers trace the smoothness of mondatta's face, aging digits allowing the cool of the metal to seep into them. as forehead comes to rest against the omnic's, fingers continue their journey along the contours of mondatta's' body, slow and steady, not daring to miss an inch.

siebren shifts away only slightly, just enough to begin peppering kisses across the other's face, each press of lips slow and languid, deliberate in his movements. the metal is cold against his warm lips, a contrast that will always remain, but one he will always enjoy. mondatta may be cold to the touch, but the warmth within him could heat the world.

ellis has been having a brilliant time exploring this castle with mondatta. it's been really educational and a lot of fun. and the fact they've been able to come when no one else is here and have essentially free reign of it? even better!

eithne's learning all kinds of things this year! she's a witch, perhaps the biggest realization. magic exists, and so do all the folktales and myths and scary stories. and apparently metal beings exist, too? how cool!

siebren's never really been afraid of dying. he'll remain one with the universe, just in a different way. that's how he's always seen it. death is inevitable, death comes for everyone. but as he grows older, as his time ticks near, he finds himself afraid. not of dying, but of leaving mondatta alone. of leaving behind what he wish he could have forever. it isn't fair that siebren must grow old and weak and mondatta remains without him, alone and cold in the world.

still, siebren offers a smile. it doesn't quite reach his eyes, but it's there nonetheless. because he doesn't wish mondatta to see the fear, the heartbreak within. he doesn't want his husband to worry about him, not when there's already so much to worry about. siebren's mind is going downhill, in a much more natural way now. his body is protesting more and more every day. there are some days he can barely walk without assistance now, but they manage. they get through the days.

"Nothing in life is without flaws, but surely you must agree that there is meaning and hope in his teachings. Is your aversion to the concept of harmony so great that it created a rift between you?"

Ramattra watched on as the human assailants fled the scene, his larger frame standing firm before Mondatta, acting as a shield. One thing he had observed about humans, was that they typically react strongly towards hatred and fear.

It would seem the very sight of him was enough to invoke at least one of those powerful responses. On one hand, it saved him the need for retaliation. On the other... it served as a cruel reminder of certain facts he can never change.

One quick look at the damage his friend suffered made the conflicting thoughts fester. He regretted not reaching his side soon enough. Should he even have to in the first place? Far too late to ponder, for they have already gotten away with it. Like they always do.

Was this really alright though? He failed to see how. Perhaps in that sense, Mondatta proved to be more worldly than he was.

It need not be asked, Ramattra swiftly offered his hand to the other, ready to support him on his feet if need be. "I know it can." His tone was contemplative, mournful.
