Tech Tuesday Prompt
Alright, yes I know Iâm late for TT, but Iâm gonna make up for it. I had this little idea in my head for awhile, and I thought I might try writing for a different character this time
âââ
âTech?â You called through the ship, wondering where the genius was. Omega said he was inside since she was helping him, but he told her that he got it from there. âY/n?â Techs voice called from under the control panel, âthereâs you areâ you walked over, sitting in his seat as you looked around, âyes, Iâm here. Now, what is it that you need?â He asked, pointing to a screw driver as you gave it to him, he laid back down, fixing whatever he was trying to fix.
âI had a question, well, itâs not really a question... itâs kind of a question, that Wrecker askedâ you spoke, unsure if that was the best way to put it, but it came from Wrecker, so nothing was ever going to sound good. He sighed out, âof course itâs Wrecker, what did he ask?â You knew that Wrecker never understood Techs statements and facts, or even explanations. âHe asked if Coruscant was a starâ you spoke, knowing he was going to go into a rant about how it wasnât. He dropped his tool on his chest, he crawled out from under the panel, âhow many times do I have to tell him, that Coru-â âCoruscant isnât a star. I know, and I told him why it wasnâtâ he watched with interest in his eyes as you explained how it wasnât, the more he listened, the more it sounded like how he spoke about it.
A small smile spread across his lips, you remembered exactly how he explained it, even using bigger words to explain. Once you stopped, you faced him again, âright? Thatâs correct?â You asked, âthe best explanation I have ever heardâ He spoke, coming just above a whisper, â..but he still doesnât get itâ you added, which made him roll his eyes, âof course he wouldnâtâ Tech was on his knees, turning around to get back to work, you watched as he carefully grabbed each tool he needed, laying on his back again â...and Crosshair said weâre out of coffeeâ right when he thought it couldnât get any worse, he sat up, hitting his head on the bottom of the panel again. He held his head, glad he had worn his helmet.
âBut donât worry, I got some moreâ you commented, he swore he felt a few brain cells go on and off as he gathered himself again. âItâs always those two who drink coffeeâ âwho?â âHunter and Crosshairâ he spoke out, almost giving up on the task at hand. He rested one arm on his knee that was up and balanced himself with the other on the floor. There was no better view from where you sat, âmaybe I can help?â You suggested, sitting on the floor beside him as he nodded, shocked to see you offer and help him. You laid down, he followed soon after. Taking a look at the wires that connected to each other in a bothersome way if you looked at it too much. Your eyes followed one wire, that connected to the lights, then the lights to the switch, which meant the the switch would have a separate wire.
âUh Tech, which wire is connected to the light switch?â You asked, âthis oneâ he grabbed the thin wire between his gloved fingers, showing you which one. âOh! Right here. That wire is in the way of the main power source. Itâd be better if they werenât all tangled up thoughâ you spoke, reach up to pull the single wire through the bunched up ones. Connecting it back to the switch one, âthereâ you pushed that wire far away, so it wouldnât fall into the main one again. âWait, that didnât..â he pulled out from under the panel and stood on his knees, seeing the button light up once again as the router powered up. âHow did..â he didnât finish his sentence as he took his helmet off, you closed off the little door as you screwed it back in.
He helped you off the ground with a hand, then you both sat in the front seats, looking at the vast amount of button light up and blink. âHow did you do that?â Tech finally spoke, âyou just need to keep in cleanâ you laughed lightly, he smiled, nodding. You leaned up, putting your elbows on your knees as you sat at the edge of your seat, âeven if you donât think youâre facts and knowledge are not wanted around here. Iâm always listening, itâs interesting on how much you knowâ he watched while his heart felt like it was about to explode. He couldnât stop that smirk that made its way onto his face. His facts... his interest.. interested you? âWell, Iâm glad you find them fascinatingâ he leaned forward as well. Playing with a few button, âwould you mind, telling me more soon?â âIf thatâs what you want, I donât mindâ he fixed his goggles. âI have to go check on Omegaâ you stood up, Tech did as well. The space between you wasnât uncomfortable, well you liked it, but wasnât sure if Tech did.
âSorryâ you nervously laughed, then looked at him, he was definitely a lot taller than you. He looked down, âthatâs quite alrightâ he spoke slowly, leaning down hesitantly, you moved towards him. His hand was on your wrist, as you held his waist. You placed a soft kiss on his lips, he stopped breathing, staying in that one spot. You pulled away, looking at him, âbreathâ you spoke, he opened his eyes, finally taking a breath in as he blinked at you. You smiled, he pulled you in again for another, it seemed like you had the wind knocked out of you. He was gentle, like you had expected. He then let go, looking down at you, unable to make a proper sentence. âYouâre welcome, Iâve got to go check on Omegaâ you tapped his side, smiling at him as you walked off.
He didnât move for a long time, trying to process what had just happened. He still felt his lips tingle from the kiss, his gloved hands came up to touch them. Only for the feeling to go away, the more he thought about it, the more he found himself blushing. His chest grew warm at the thought of doing it again, maybe he just might. âY/n!â He called after you, tripping over his helmet on his way out.

AHH
but look at how pretty his eyes are!!!
