5 & 10 for the murder queen for the OC codex!
5.Ā letters between two of your OCās companions about them
From Sura of the Kadri, First of Firsts and First Lady of Myr, to Foicatch Stellas, King Consort of the Queen of the Northern Lands.Ā
I know you do not like the heat, but from what I hear about the cold you suffer in the north this winter, my lands must seem a much sweeter home at the moment, yes? I know how our darling fire witch hates the cold, and I can see her now, sitting almost in the fire for the warmth of it. Does she still stick her bare feet in the coals to warm them if the night is chill? She used to track soot all over the carpets of my tent when nights were cold in the desert.Ā
Ahh, but I miss her. You two really must come back to see me when the winter storms let ships through again. In the mean time, do your best to keep her warm for me, as I cannot be there to do it myself.Ā
Give her an extra kiss, as well, and tell her it is from me. And a few more kisses, in her more interesting places.Ā
Iāve had a new shield forged for you by my favorite smith; it should accompany these gifts and letters. It should fit you well; I had it made to the measurements you gave me when last you wrote.Ā
From Foicatch Stellas, King Consort of Queen Systlin Stellas, Queen of the Northern Lands, Blood of the First King, to Sura of the Kadri, First of Firsts and First Lady of Myr, called commonlyĀ āthe Queen of the Sandsā
The shield is splendid, Sura, and fits my arm to perfection. The engraving is exquisite, and I shall use and treasure it.Ā
I do not mind the cold. Or the snow. Iāve always been rather fond of snow, to be honest. But you are right; Systlin is miserable, though of course sheās too bloody stubborn to show it. But she does when weāre alone, of course, and yes. She does practically crawl into the hearth. Caught her tunic on fire last week doing it, and didnāt notice until I dumped a pitcher of water on it. Bloody fire witches.Ā
And yes again. Sheās been tracking soot to bed for two months. I remember watching my mother laundering blankets and wince at it, but Sys pays the laundresses extra for the inconvenience so I suppose it evens out.Ā
Weāve already spoken of coming to visit when the ice breaks. Weāll send word beforehand, of course, but the Northern Lands value our relationship with the south.Ā
Thatās what Sys always says before we head down to see you. Everyone sees through it of course, but whoās going to tell her no?
We look forwardĀ to seeing you again. And I shall kiss her for you, often and everywhere, and keep her quite warm.Ā
Oh. And Iāve sent a flute. My father made it; I commissionedĀ it from him especiallyĀ for you. Itās of northern sea-oak, and he did a particularly exquisite job on it. I hope you like it.Ā
10;Ā a description of your OC by someone who hates them
From the journal of Sammiel Rottigan, King of Northwatch.Ā
The bloody damned girl couldnāt just die in a ditch somewhere.Ā
She looks just like her damned father; itās like looking at his features cast as a woman. I used to think that she didnāt get a damned thing from my sister, but Zi always was stubborn, if perhaps not quite the way Stellead is stubborn.Ā
Come to think of it, Systlin is very like my other damned traitor sister. Sheās got her fatherās height, his blue eyes, his dark hairā¦but in every other way sheās a pits-damned bloody ringer for my bitch of a sister.Ā
Perhaps it skipped a generation. I donāt know.Ā
But the bloody girl is winning. We had her father beat. We had her family broken, and sheās pits-damned winning.Ā
I canāt walk through my own keep without hearing the servants telling stories of her. Those gods-cursed stories; half of them canāt be true, but even allowing that sheās done things that should not be possible. She should be dead a hundred times over. But sheās not, damn her, because sheās just as hard to kill as my traitor bitch of a sister.Ā
I tried assassins. They work for her now. Sheās a bloody Breaker, but the people adore her. Sheās the first into battle, but even the best of my soldiers canāt bloody well kill her, and she keeps on killing my best warriors with her own blades.Ā
If the gods love me at all, my she-wolf bitch of a nieceĀ will catch ill and die.Ā
