Adam and I were thinking to further our options of Apartments we're even going to consider the places that don't have internet. I think this is an interesting concept and it brought up a lot of discussion. For instance, if i didn't have internet i'd have sooo much more time to do things all day, like get back into art and piano, make recipes, go for walks, enjoy nature, read more books, play with Godric and Adam could work on his paintings and wood work he's been wanting to do. It would be like a clean internet purge, a detox. Then eventually we'll just get our own internet when the time is right. I was thinking maybe this is the change we need to start in our new place, a place where we're no longer dependent on technologies, instead we're moreso doing what we enjoy rather than falling into trances over who said what status and who's doing this or that. While the internet is an awesome connective place full of research and discovery most people just utilize to gossip, feed their ego or their curiosity. Why do we need to read facebook as soon as we wake up or scroll for hours at a time at porn and cat pictures, why do we need to check our phones constantly for the latest notifications? Would cutting off internet be detrimental to people or would it be gratifying by opening up a new level of independence?
On a scale of 1-10(1-being i'm chill with everything, 10 being i'm anxious for the interwebz) given how much society is dependent on technology, how would you react to an internet detox(Meaning no internet at your house or on your phone)?
