SQ flight taxis back to gates after pilots encounter technical fault
A Singapore Airlines flight preparing to take off from Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 had to taxi back to the gates this morning, after its pilots received a technical error message.
According to a report in the Straits Times, the 265 passengers on flight SQ830, had to disembark from the Airbus 380 to enable engineers to examine the aircraft and resolve the problem.
The flight was bound for Shanghai and had a crew of of 25.
Originally scheduled to depart from Terminal 3 at 9.20am, the plane returned to the gates 35 minutes later, the newspaper report said quoting an airline spokesman.
“Passengers re-boarded the aircraft at 11.30am after our engineers declared the aircraft serviceable and the flight departed at 12.10pm,” the report quoting the spokesman added.
