Hi there! It’s thesaltyace but with a different account that isn’t shadowbanned! Unexpected expenses have come up once again because my car is, once again, determined to make my life hell (this time it’s a new set of tires). FFS, I really need some extra cash.

I can’t make anything cool like actual art, but I have some practical skills that I can put to work to make pretty things FOR YOU!

I make cool things like…

Promotional materials! (postcards, bookmarks, flyers, Facebook cover images, you name it)

Posters! (academic or otherwise - I don’t do content writing tho, you gotta do your own academic work)

(Erm... I also swear I can make stuff that isn’t purple!)

I also do proofreading (I’m working on my masters in Technical Communication) for any type of document. That includes NSFW materials!

I also have enough HTML and CSS knowledge to get a simple website up and running for you. Can provide examples upon request.

Pricing is as follows:

Design work (promo materials, posters, resumes, etc.) - $10 up to postcard size, $15 up to A4 size, $25+ for poster sizes

Proofreading - $5 per 1000 words

Website (nothing super fancy, but looks professional and modern) - $30 up to four pages

These prices are rock-bottom, but are negotiable to some degree if it’s not within your budget. Message me on tumblr or email me at [email protected] to discuss or place an order. I’ll invoice you via PayPal once your order is complete, and you’ll be able to approve a watermarked preview before paying. If you notice anything after delivery that needs tweaking I’ll still help you out, of course.

You can also find me on Fiverr.com as thescholargeneral, but they keep 20% of the fees (and my prices are higher as a result) so I’d prefer that you place an order directly with me.

If you don’t need my services right now BUT are super awesome and want to send me $$$, I’ll keep your contact information handy so that if/when you DO need my services, I’ll consider it paid for in advance and help you out when you need it!!

[. . .] When you’re touring a show, designed a set becomes a game of inches... literally. How many inches will each piece of set take up on the back of a truck? How many hours will it take to load in every scenic effect we have in our show? And how many people will it take to do it? Eventually, our tour schedule will demands that we load out of a venue on a Sunday night, drive through the night to a new city, and then load in and open the show for a brand new audience that Tuesday night.

To give a little context, the Broadway production of Hamilton took about 8 weeks to load into the theater. We had to tech, work out the bugs, and preview the show for several more weeks before opening. The touring production, which of course started in San Francisco, needed to be completely built and engineered with touring & durability as the goal. [. . .]
