Educational Technology
I took Ed131: Educational Technology to fulfill a media requirement for my education major. When I was looking at the options that would fulfill the category, Educational Technology caught my attention. I initially was intrigued with the title. I thought I would gain some insight into the changes of education and technology, and how there is a need to teach both codependently. Each has enough to benefit the other. I thought taking the course would benefit me in the long run, in that, I would learn about the impact each has on the other. Since I was planning on taking Ed30: 21st Century Literacies, I thought taking both classes together would help in strengthening my views on what education is and the visualize the evolution of society’s expectations of a student in this modern digital age. My expectations of this class were high, but since taking it it hasn’t fallen short of that. This class has only reinforced my beliefs about what students are capable of and how powerful it is to let them know that they can achieve much higher than they think they can.
