Story of the day: I'm still playing tech support for ex-colleagues in Finance. I've just helped them solve an error they made in their bank accounting. I guess I'll always be their go-to techie XD Meanwhile the head of the SAP Finance Team (responsible for finance tech support across all of Europe) is looking for a new key user for banking in the area, because the guy they had in Austria is now in another department. Asked me about the lady who took over from me when I left. Honest answer: "Well, I taught her everything she knows about banking in SAP. She's good at finance, but doesn't pay enough attention to detail, and doesn't seem to have the knack for technical stuff that makes you really good at untangling SAP issues (which would be the point of key users, and also which is why I’m still sorting out her problems from here). If I were still there, your (and all other SAP bank users') problems would be solved. Alas, I'm no longer there. I actually am sorry about it, I liked that part of the job. Which is kind of why I'm no longer there :P" Actual answer: "She wouldn't be my number 1 choice. She's good with everyday stuff, but not that creative in solving issues on her own."
