Blog Post #10 Usability Testing
Last class the theme of usability testing was introduced. The majority of the class hadn’t heard of it before even though we should have because in our field, Computer Science, is very common to implement it. As for me at first I was very confused because I tried to understand the word by itself but I couldn’t. Then we watched the first video which explained what usability testing was, the tone that the people doing that video was very catchy and also the way that they explained it was easy, As for the other video I find it boring because I can’t handle a monotonous tone.
So with the videos and researching a little a find that usability testing is a technique used in user-centered interaction design to evaluate a product by testing it on users. For our project we must test whether people understand the main point of our proposal, to see if is easy to understand, if it is catchy and if they will be in favor with our project by showing them whatever that it is that we have like a website, a slide, a flyer. In my opinion I believe that is better to implement the testing using a technique like the first video that we watched because in our project the audience are students and we are attract by things that sound like fun.
