I had some fun 'hanging out' with @ravenrescue during their High Angle Rope Rescue course. Their #TechAcademy continues this week with Swiftwater Rescue.
TechAcademy - week2
Online Bootcampも2週目を終え、今日からweek3が始まることとなりました。
が、week2で事件が発生しました。
なんとメンタリングをすっぽかされました
こちらも学生とはいえ、就活や勉強、バイトの時間を縫ってメンタリングの時間を捻出しているわけですよ。ましてや私は対価として金銭を払っている顧客です。
曲がりなりにも就業型インターンで顧客対応をした経験はあるので、お客は神様だなんて大それたことを言うつもりはありません。ただ流石に対価をもらっている側が予定をすっぽかすというのは論外です。
本人に連絡した後、返答がなかったためサポートに連絡したところ「少々お待ちいただけますか」という返信。既にメンタリングの時間が半分ほど過ぎているにも関わらず謝罪無し。(後で改めて謝罪はありました)
この時点でかなり失望しました。学生なら10万円ですが、社会人はこのサポート体制に対してほぼ倍額を支払っています。まともなサービスとは思えません。
確かにメンター陣の技術は一流でしょう。私のメンターも多分に優秀な人であることは話していて分かります。私なんぞのメンタリングをしてもらうのが勿体ないと感じるくらいです。
ただ、このサービスは技術面以外でのサポート体制がずさんすぎます。
結局、後でメンターから丁重な謝罪とともにリスケジュールのお願いをされました。振替分はカリキュラムの最後に回すことになりそうです。
正直、現時点ではTechAcademyを全くオススメできません。
今後カリキュラムが進むにつれて、もっと良い評価をした記事を書けるようになることを願います。
