You see, we think that technology will eventually become sentient because of the level of intelligence that we give to it and in its ability to think freely it will become hell bent on taking over but here’s an alternative to this idea based on what I see now.

Humans are obsessed with living forever or “reversing the aging process” and we’ve already begun to experiment with implantations to help with all kinds of procedures. But what about when we start implanting the technology in ourselves, like permenant cellphones in our heads or things like that. Eventually we are going to become so dependent on technology that we begin to implant it within ourselves.

So basically over time there will be more and more technology implants to get and stuff like that and instead of technology taking over the world, we become the technology itself. Replacing bits and pieces of ourselves with upgrades and shit until the human race is no longer human. Then there would be no point to trying to take over the world, humans already control it.

Basically what I’m saying is that the human race is destined to become the Cybermen.
