So this is what I’ve been waiting all week to arrive. This is a new hobby that I picked up, as I got hooked again on the tech world.
It doesn’t scream out the obvious that it’s a keyboard, but hey it’s a mechanical one and I picked up the dreaded blue switch with the clicky sound.
After watching dozens of YouTube videos and knowing how pricy these things are, I managed to find one that doesn’t break the bank and doesn’t break after a few months of use.
Here are some of the modifications I’ll be putting on my RK 61 keyboard, but it’ll have to wait because I haven’t received my keycap remover.
I managed to scratch some of the keycaps already because of the cheap plastic keycap remover included in the box, this screams out that cheap production quality on the keycap and keycap remover. I’m a bit annoyed, but you get what you pay for. I can just change the keycaps anytime I want, maybe shelling out more money for expensive ones.
So why would someone with a functioning pc keyboard or laptop buy one? It all boils down to preference and need.
I bought this mechanical keyboard along with a wireless mouse because I’ll be using our TV as a monitor for gaming and work purposes.
Why settle for a cheap membrane keyboard or Bluetooth mini keyboard when you can buy a mechanical keyboard? Some people even build their mechanical keyboard.
Think about it, most of the time we are all working on our computers almost every day and what we use the most is our keyboard. So if you like customizing your stuff to make it more personal along with that nice keyboard sounds you hear on the internet, you should get one. The switches for the keys can also be customized so if you are a heavy typist or someone who has hand pains maybe this can help.
Another thing with preferences is that you can choose the size of your keyboard, mine is a 60% but 40% keyboards are very cute and small (and I’m already thinking of getting one ahaejshahw)
