Since we know so little about Neptune's wife, pretty much everything I do with her is a headcanon or a guess. I think that, since so few people know about her (and even though I argued against it earlier, it's looking all the more likely that even the GC himself doesn't know about her, which would be VERY interesting if that was the case cause that means Pluto has an insane little piece of blackmail on him), she probably doesn't have a huge squadron of Inquisitors, it would just be too conspicuous. The way that Pluto and the Owlbear talked about the concept of the Astralis having a home implies that they're just a nomadic species with no proper "base" outside of their ships, so its not like she'd have an excuse to loiter around him for any other reason either.

My current explanation for these two is that she's a noble or a decently affluent general for another clan/species that either Neptune or the clan is allied with, and they started to get to know each other better during negotiations (Since it HAS been confirmed she's not a Makara Astralis on stream which YEASSSSS I'm very happy cause it means she could have a very unique design from him!). Because of this, he can also make frequent excuses to come visit her because he can say that there's a diplomacy purpose to his visits, even if that's just pretense. However, because of the risky nature of their relationship, Neptune does lend a handful of Inquisitors to her guard, just in case, under the guise of a trade agreement (personally I headcanon that she has a decent level of battle prowess and can handle her own, but Neptune is notoriously overly cautious, Venus herself says that he had guards following her around too). It's not nearly as many as he wishes he could to keep her safe, though, and definitely not enough to stop a rampaging Pluto.

Though I will say, even after all that, I’m still wondering how Pluto could’ve found out Nep was married in the case that the Grand Celestial doesn't know about it, considering that would make it 1000% more dangerous for Nep’s wife and thus it would need to be much more concealed. Initially I was working off of the assumption “well, if there’s a paper trail, that means there was likely some legally recognised partnership going on and not just a common-law marriage,” mostly because I think the prince of a nation getting married would be EXTREMELY difficult to sneak past the king in a legal procedure. The marriage of royalty is usually treated like a political act regardless of intent, wouldn’t the GC need to sign off? And even if he didn’t need to, why would they get properly married if they were tryna be discreet (such as, like I mentioned earlier, just eloping or doing a common-law marriage)?

Is it maybe to get legal protection from something else later down the line? Maybe a silent act of rebellion against his father that was meant to not be noticed until later? (Since now we know for sure Neptune dislikes him, before it could be argued Neptune wouldn’t wanna piss off the GC but we now know he dgaf). The latter option is VERY iffy given how it would be more dangerous for his wife than him, and I don't think Neptune is reckless enough to risk his wife's life over such a petty reason, but I'm just throwing things at the wall here since there's not much to go off of yet.

OR, alternatively, if they AREN’T legally married, what did Pluto see that informed him that they’re specifically married and not just vaguely dating. Does this imply Neptune opens his emails to her with “hey wifey :3333” or something (/j)

Additionally, I have started coming up with a few ways to translate Rosie's TSAMS Lore to her TEASS counterpart, because I don't just wanna use her design + personality and call it a day. I AM actively trying to make a TEASS universal variant of Rosiebell, but I wanna make sure she fits well into the space lore before setting anything in stone >:) Neptune and Rosie both bond over having little control over their respective situations though, I'll say that much.

Also note about her design - I designed her thinking that she and Neptune matched outfits, which is why she has his insignia throughout. Obvi if she was a public figure who was hiding her relationship I would have to change that design detail ! XP Maybe she wears them later.
