          This was always the worst time. Not so much traversing the field should the enemy linger, but picking through dead for wounded.  Leaving someone behind was a terrible thought, and yet it happened.  Often.  Tt was for this reason Beatrix returned to the warzone now and then for the forgotten ones.  And again, there was a obscure movement in her peripheral vision.  One which would have been easy to pass due to the otherwise lifeless mass around them. 

   Immediately the general rushed over, nearly tripping over a discarded helmet where lifeless eyes may have watched from behind that plated face, and fell on one knee for the wounded. A man of Baron with two broken arrows and a deep gash into his leg where he bled, staining the ground and tainting the air metallic in taste. Alive.  Relief passed through her that it wasn't one of her own, but Beatrix knew even that was selfish of her.  Still, she remained the hardened general among any ally, checking vitals clinging onto this life.

   Two fingers pressed against the man's temple where white magic glowed faintly. Minimal alleviation for the trek back.  "Don’t speak.  Just hold onto this pain a little while longer."

   It took strenuous effort, but Beatrix managed to get him to his feet, and by shifting enough weight, they were able to manage one step at a time. All around, others were doing the same, carrying brothers and sisters in arms to the temporary medic tent.

   Despite growing distress among the soldiers over who was rightly to receive attention first, Beatrix raised her voice in resolute command.  Those of Alexandria were the first to open their ears for the rose general.  “Heavily injured into the tent first.  Those able to perform curative spells begin medical treatment with the best of your capabilities.  The rest of you with strength are to provide assistance with whatever these mages request.  Continue until you receive further orders from myself or Lady Rosa.”
