Here's a collection of some of my best Halloween/Costume art i've done in the past few years in case i don't get anything done, primarily featuring Mags and Spade!

Ever since OG CH1S2 came out with Sparkle Diva, i thought it’d be a great for the dancing, star-motif having Mags as a good cosplay So here’s Sparkling Disco Diva Mags!

So let's discuss: SPADE.

A sweet and folksy capon from the country settlement of the Blasted Heath. She is K’uro’s top pupil and de facto protégé, being inordinately skilled and cunning in the field of magic and Practical Application of Magic. While friendly and genial, there’s always an aura of uneasiness she emits.

Possibly because her home, the Blasted Heath has been mutated and malformed by an eldritch meteorite for decades.

Other facts about Spade:

She has many, many siblings, mostly sisters. The predominant naming scheme is "digging implements" (Kunai, Mattock, Dolabra, Shovel) which also extends to her family name.

"Etoile" is French for star. In Spade's case, it is a play on the term "E-Tool" or entrenching tools, military shovels designed for building trenches and sometimes as weapons a la TF2's Soldier.

She attends Darkmoon Research Institute, a Nurnian magical research college founded by K'uro Leliel, to foster research into the science of magic and how different types of magic even from other worlds and disciplines interact.

The Spade motif of her name is present in her facial markings, a print on her rear end, and in the shape of her hair.

The beads around her neck are technically enchanted wards but are primarily heirlooms she's attached to. She's not even aware of any wards in them, she just wears them at all times.

Has a strong Northern Applachian accent, like the rest of her family.

Fun Facts about this friendly cactus

- Very good at puzzles and lateral thinking, which mainly manifests as someone who can figure out the ever frequent slide puzzle locks common in the worst possible places to have a slide puzzle lock

- her first name is Opal, but only her Nana refers to her by that. It’s unclear where “Mags” is even derived from.

- Incapable of combat but has an uncanny Power of Persuasion that makes anyone she befriends immediately willing to Kill or Die on her behalf. This occurs regardless of her own wishes.

She is a living Battle Standard/VIP to the point of it being a whole combat style

- Is actually a clone of her “Nana”, being grown like a cutting from Nana’s severed arm into a biologically identical but separate being.

- Loves dancing, especially breakdancing in spite of having a constant knee sprain. Again, she can’t use it to fight, capoeira is not breakdancing.

Pearl Onion, Dollkeeper of the Dark

The most rookie member of the Baruuk, Pearl Onion is the daughter of a Floramphyr (plant vampire) clan leader and student of Applied Magic at the Darkmoon Research Institute. She struggles with a tendency to excessive devotion, which she channels in the form of very, very complex plushies she makes herself. Oftentimes, in the image of her friends, and enchanted in such a way to make them automatically take lethal damage on their behalf. She's especially flustered around K'uro, out of admiration of his good nature and status as a benevolent vampire, and Spade, for completely crush-related reasons. A bit of an ineffectual chuuni, trying to imitate her headmaster in his "vampiric glory years".

Julia Faustus, Dream-Workaholic

Julia Faustus is the acting professor of Oneiromancy at the Observatorium, and is perpetually tired because of the nature of studying dreams and because she doesn't know how to not overwork herself. She is the coordinator of the Field Internship Program, and thus must deal with the antics of a couple of very odd, very inquisitive college students. The Teammates tend to go to her whenever they have strange dreams (given her field of study), and her interpretations tend to be dry but insightful. She accepts payment in the form of melatonin and covering shifts for naps even though one of her main skills is being able to do paperwork while sleepwalking.
