Clearing his throat, he nodded and continued, eyes scanning the horizon. "But now it's like any touch might hurt. Might be a punch, a smack, might be a cut, might be too rough. I don't like people touchin' me now because I haven't had a kind touch since I left me home. People like kickin' strays in the streets."

This brought a smile back to his face as he pulls out the small knife from his pocket, flashing it towards you. It was a simple workman's blade, mostly good for cutting twine or similar.

"This. It was me pa's, gave me it when I first started helpin' out in the fields. Ain't much, and I wouldn't use it on nobody. Just reminds me of them. And it still smells like them." As if to accentuate this, he pulled it up to his noses and inhaled deeply, a look of peace momentarily touching his freckled features.

The smile faltered and the blade was stowed again. That was supposed to be an easy question for most. Most inherently thought that deserved love. But most weren't a creature like him, or in a foreign country, or at the fringe of society. His face pinched, he knew these questions weren't about lying and it wouldn't make the truth any less different.

"Probably not. That's why me life is the way it is. Not gonna get what I don't deserve."

So the first flag is gonna deal with faceclaims. Ever since getting back into the RPC, especially this past year (I started on @thxwxlf and now I am here), I have noticed the disdain for animated or cartoon faceclaims, especially being someone who either draws or uses sims for my visuals. Like, I get there being a disdain for FCs that are asked not to be used as FCs but... not everything that is not using a living actor/actress as a fc is a cartoon?

Like, for me, I can't really find someone that mirrors how I see Stevie since she is my OC. Sure, Isabel May fits it SOMEWHAT, but it's not enough for me to want to use her as a visual for Stevie all the time, especially with having to edit red hair and freckles, and I want to have her be represented as authentically as possible. I get not wanting to write with an FC that is from a children's cartoon, especially if the vibe is more adult-oriented, but... I don't know. I don't know if it's just an aesthetic thing, but it's always bothered me a little, but I'll respect it.

Now for the second flag, this is for graphics/formatting. I don't understand why people won't follow others because of the lack of graphics or it not matching their vibe. Some people can't afford nice graphics, some people aren't that savvy with Photoshop, and even some people just don't want the hassle of having to format (which is my only gripe with graphics when I'm on mobile LOL). Like, I bought my graphics because I wanted them, not to impress anyone or match anyone.
