Continuation of talking to cousin
So I continue to tell the tale of Jonnor to him (an 8-year-old) and came up to the part where Jude was bullied for wearing nail polish (the early part of the show).
Me: so Jude was bullied at school...
Him (8-year-old cousin): why?
Me: Because he was wearing nail polish.
Him: and?
Me: the other kids didn’t like it.
Him: but why? The nail polish is not gonna kill anyone, why did they they hate it and him?
Me: (I just like you so much) Anyway, so Connor saw that, what do you think he should do.
Him: well, there’s two options. Tell a teacher or help Jude.
Me: Ok, help Jude how?
Him: I don’t know. Jude tell the bullies to stop, maybe.
Me: what if they don’t stop?
Him: i don’t know, just go in?
Me: ok, Connor ended up not doing anything, and a teacher came along and break it off. Jude was upset at Connor for not doing anything. The next day Connor painted his nails too.
Him: Why?
Me: to show Jude that she supported Jude and wanting to be friends again, he feels guilty.
Him: So Connor blames himself?
Me: No, not really, the bullies are the past, now he just want to be friends.
Him: so did they?
Me: Yes.
Him: That’s good. :)
His instinct was to go in and help even though he had absolutely no idea what to do, like “I’m in now but I have no idea what to do but supporting my friend is of uttermost importance”. If everyone has the same mindset then we wouldn’t have bullying. And Jude and Connor wearing nail polish didn’t even bother him in the slightest. I love this kid!
So since there won't be any new The Fosters episode for a while, 2 months!!! (At least). This is how I spend my Tuesday nights

Rants about Jonnor kiss haters
Some people's level of hypocrisy and bothers in recent days: Group of four 13 year-olds vandalising and trashing a innocent family's house with toilet paper - meh, they're kids. In the same group, a boy makes out with a girl repeatedly throughout the episode - how adorable, young love. The same kids talking about losing virginity - guess they're exploring, but it's OK. Proceeding to underage drinking (13 years old) while a gunshot is fired at them - well things happen,(shrugs). Meanwhile, two boys in the group pecks on the lips for ONE second - Oh my god !!!!! The world is gonna fall, get your children!!! Placing an age restriction on it. Inappropriate for the kids!!! Really?!! You have nothing else to worry about? Instead of addressing the real social issues by educating your kids, you worry about two boys kissing each other.
